Description
Rare vase by the famous Dutch designer Marcel Wanders for the Tichelaar factory in the Netherlands. In the 1980s Tichelaar made some important innovations in its ceramic products and started a design series called T-sign and Oar Wurk – Other/different work – to make the distinction with earlier periods with more traditional earthenware. In T-sign and Oar Wurk the factory worked together with well-known Dutch designers like Jan van der Vaart, Dirk Romijn and, like in this vase, Marcel Wanders. In very good condition, signed ‘T-sign royal tichelaar makkum’, h. 28, diam. 20.
