Description
In the 1950s and 1960s the rattan furniture industry in the Netherlands was flourishing, due to the need for functional and affordable furniture in the post-war period. This all-rattan bench was introduced in 1958. The chair version, called the ‘hondenmand’ (dog basket), was very popular. Much more rare is this twoseater, in very good condition, beautiful patina, h. 74, w. 120, d. 65, seat h. 38, seat d. 52.
