Description
Beautiful silkscreen by the Leeuwarden artist Eddy Sikma (1957-2015) who is well-known as a painter of Leeuwarder city-scapes and of the Frisian landscape, especially the Waddensea-coast. Ironically, this silscreen was made in a very limited edition on occasion of the opening of th, now much debated, Zuidwal-gasfield in 1989. The work of Sikma is characterized by the bright yellow. In very good condition, nicely framed, provenance Galerie De Vis Harlingen, 61/46 x 51/36, signed and dated ESikma ’89.
