Description
The CoBrA movement of the 50s produced many great names: Appel, Jorn, etc. But there are a number of painters who have remained under the radar of museums, galleries and critics. Paul Haanschoten (1925-2006), who used the pseudonym Coq, can certainly be called a ‘forgotten CoBrA painter’. His colorful expressive works are beautiful in composition and abstraction. This work, oil on cardboard dates from the end of the 50s, in very good condition and professionally framed, 65x53x4/50×40.
