Description
A rare early painting by the Dutch-Frisian artist Jerre Hakse (1937-2024), who belonged to the avantgarde of the artistic movement in the northern part of The Netherlands in the late 50’s en ’60. He was co-founder of the experimental gallery De Blauwe Hand in Harlingen and one of the first Frisian artists who worked in the style of abstract expressionism. This oil on canvas dates from the Harlingen-period and w\is very strong in composition and colours. In good condition, 52x42x4,5, in its original frame, signed ‘jerrehakse 64’.
