Description
In the 1970s the famous Noordwolde rattan factories (Rohé, Jonkers, Trio) used peeled rattan – manou – to be able to paint the frames of their furniture, something that was not possible with pure rattan. In the 70’s dark painted furniture was very much in demand. Also characteristic for that period is the use of different materials in one object, like in this XXL easy chair, probably Rohé, in manou and fabric, in very good condition with minor discoloration on the seat, h. 100, w. 76, d. 90, seat h. 40, seat d. 65.
