Description
Large and spectacular ceramic floor vase by Jaan Mobach, sculptor and ceramist, 1933 – 2003, Utrecht, Netherlands.
“Mobach Keramiek”, founded in Utrecht in 1895, is considered one of the greatest dynasties of Dutch ceramicists. Always of very high quality, their production has been and remains handcrafted, in small quantities or in unique pieces. Brown, red and pale green glazed chamotte earth. This vase has originally been a floorlamp and can be restored in that function, but as it is now, it is a wonderful object. In very good condition, signed ‘mobach’ on the bottom, 1960s, h. 61, diameter bottom 17, width with handle 27.
