Description

Willem Noyons (1956) has been a visual artist and designer since 1982. His studio in Utrecht designs and produces graphic and spatial work. The studio is the partner of many inspiring clients. Clear design, carefully chosen materials, surprising ideas, a conceptual approach and realistic budgeting are the essence of the work of Noyons and his studio. In 2006 he organized a retrospective exhibition at the Museum Catharijneconvent in Utrecht of the work of his father, Jan Noyons (1918-1982). Noyons comes from a family of jewelers and his father was a well-known goldsmith and artist. Many of Noyons’ designs are timeless products that have always enjoyed popularity, such as the Double Vase or the Pure carafe set (both included in our collection). Noyons’ other projects also receive a lot of attention. For example, he designed a vase for the wedding of Willem-Alexander and Máxima, and a vase was also created by Noyons on the occasion of the birth of their daughter Alexia. In 2013, before the enthronement, he again designed a special vase for this royal occasion. Noyons is a versatile designer and can gradually be called an expert in the field of glass design and production.
