Description
From the 1950s into the 1970s Dirk van Sliedregt was the head-designer for the Dutch rattan furniture factory Gebroeders Jonkers in Noordwolde. This is his chair Model 589 from 1955 in lacquered metal and rattan. A very elegant design, therefore also mentioned in Peter Vöge and Bab Westerveld, Stoelen, Nederlandse ontwerpen 1945-1985, p. 98. In very good condition, lacking two small pieces in the seat, almost invisible, h. 72, w. 52, d. 55, seat h. 35, seat d. 45.
