Description
Fristho was an international company in midcentury furniture in the 1950s-1970s, based in the Dutch-Frisian town of Franeker. In the 1950s they started working together with well-known designers like William Watting, Inger Klingenberg, Kho Liang Ie, Pierre Paulin and their own designer Marten Franckena. They were specialized in sideboards, low- and highboards in different veneers, mostly teak and rosewood.
This sideboard is in very good condition, teak veneer, with some minor signs of age and use, with two drawers and two shelves, with the metal label ‘fristho danish design modernart’, 1960, h. 95, w. 125, d. 40.
