Description
Huitema, Anne 09-08-1941, Langezwaag Education Academy Minerva (Groningen) Anne Huitema is a draftsman, graphic artist and painter of landscapes and still lifes. From his academy days he felt interested in graphic techniques, in which etching soon turned out to be the most fascinating for him. He approaches his subjects both poetically and constructively abstracted. He is inspired by landscape and architecture and makes very atmospheric etchings based on Friesland. He often works in ochre brown tones. He fits into the broad spectrum of artists from the post-Cobra period. In 1968 he found a connection with, among others, Anton Rinzema and Sies Bleeker.
