Description

Minimalist vase by the well-known Dutch pottery Mobach. The company was founded in 1895 in Utrecht as the Utrechtsche Pottenfabriek by Klaas Jaan Mobach, who came from a Frisian potter’s family. Several generations have subsequently continued it. The process of manufacturing ceramics has remained virtually the same throughout history. The pottery is turned in small series or as unique items or is manually constructed from clay rolls or plates, after which it is glazed. Piet Klaarhamer and Gerrit Rietveld designed a number of vases. This radiant small blue vase is in very good condition, signed Mobach, h. 22, diameter 7,5.
